We are the co-founder, and until December 2019 the coordinator and leader of the Mazovian Chemical Cluster, which started its activity in 2014. The idea behind the cluster initiative is to create an institution supporting the development of the regional chemical industry.
The main objective of the cluster was to improve competitiveness and increase the innovative potential of companies from the chemical sector. We have achieved this thanks to the exchange of knowledge and experience with the research sphere and cooperation with companies cooperating with the sector.
The unique space of the cluster resulted in building lasting relationships, initiating joint projects, stimulating pro-innovation activities, it was conducive to sharing experiences and improving competences. Within the cluster, we managed to establish 10 industry groups, among which the cosmetics group clearly stood out. It is it - as one of the most innovative and developmental on the Polish market - working towards developing its own development strategy.
During the period of coordination of the cluster by PPPT, its members were over 120 entities representing:
- entrepreneurs,
- scientific and research units,
- universities,
- administration,
- non-governmental organizations and
- business environment institutions.
The Mazowiecki Chemical Cluster was active on the international arena, participating, among others, in the work of the Project Council of the European Chemical Regions Network (ECRN), and the high standard of its activities is confirmed by the Bronze Badge of Cluster Management Quality Improvement, awarded by the European Secretariat of Cluster Analysis (ESCA) in October 2014 and the Silver Cluster Management Quality Improvement Award, awarded by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) in November 2017.
